I'm in the computer labs during my lunch hour. The apartment hunt is on, I think I may end up rooming with a girl from Santa Barbara who was in two of my French classes but didn't know until now. Weird. Like I can't escape from the Santa Barbarians.
Class is good, it's really helping me to brush up on all the French I've forgotten over the summer.
None of the windows here have screens. I've gotten over twenty mosquito bites in three days. I may die. I bought a mosquito repellent, we'll see how that goes.
Bordeaux is gorgeous. The shops are awesome. The atmosphere is great. And the boys get all excited when we say we're Americans, even more excited to learn we're from California. It's so much fun.

Don't be so trustful of other people, always keep your distance.
Love you very much.

Sorry to hear you've been devoured by mosquitoes.... Benadryl always works to banish the hives.
Jana is very excited that you are in France. She's wondering if you've seen Madeleine yet or if you've circled the Eiffel Tower and skipped along the cobbled stones of Paris with a baguette under your armpit (as she has seen in her Madeline videos) or biked along the riverbank with "old ladies." We've told her that your school is a train ride away from Paris....
Keep us posted on Eurailing! We also want to know about the stinky cheeses you've tried.
Study breaks in Provence are a must! You must hit all the "A cities" (Arles, Avignon, Aix-en-Provence) and send us postcards so we can live vicariously through you.
Hugs from the kids.
